2023 Summer Skill Training

Our 2023 summer skill training is designed to strengthen your defensive or offensive game. Over the course of 3 days, athletes will have the opportunity to train for an hour, or more, specifically on one of our 3 offered skills - passing, setting, and attacking. This training is open to athletes in 6-12th grade; beginners and advanced players. Athletes are encouraged to attend more than one skill session.

Passing - This skill will be led by Haley Paonessa, head coach of Ursuline College. This skill training is designed to introduce and finetune the proper movements and mechanics of passing - defense and serve receive. We will be going over the basics as well as introducing more advanced skills.

Setting - This skill will be led by Missy Soboleski, head coach of Edinboro University. This skill training is designed to introduce and finetune consistent footwork, ball setting tempo, target location, hand/ball contact and attacking the ball. An emphasis will also be placed on decision making and situational awareness to help you help your team best beat the defense.

Hitting - This skill will be led by Lee Anderson, head coach of Lake Erie College. This skill training is designed to introduce and finetune proper footwork, arm swing/frame, hand contact, and landing. Athletes will learn how to affectively use/go around the block, hit off speed, and attack out of system sets.
