Please note that these are our initial tryout dates. We may host make-up tryouts July 17th through July 31st and again in October. 

  1. Prior to arriving at Eastside for tryouts, please complete the following:
    1. Please pre-register for the appropriate tryout ($20 fee) - Links above!
    2. Purchase a USAV tryout membership on the OVR website  - Purchase Here!
      1. Note: You will not be allowed to tryout without a USAV tryout membership.
    3. Review the OVR Athlete's Bill of Rights - Click here!
    4. Use the age divisions to determine which age group you should register for - Click here!
    5. Review the Eastside website for info on tryout dates and times, club policies, player fee amounts, and more!

Please attend the tryout that you signed up for. Tryouts are held at the Eastside facility located at 8100 Tyler Blvd., Mentor, OH. Upon arriving, check in at the registration desk. You will be given a t-shirt with a tryout number. Be sure to bring proof of your OVR registration. If you did not pre-register, please bring $20 for the Eastside tryout (cash or check). Make checks payable to Eastside Volleyball Club.

  1. You will be notified about the results of your tryout via email within 2-3 days of your tryout. The email will specify whether you are offered a spot on a team or put on a waiting list. Players may accept a written offer anytime beginning July 7, 2023. Clubs CAN NOT require written acceptance until Wednesday, July 19, at noon. At noon on July 19, an offer can be pulled, and a new player can be offered the position - OVR Girls Signing & Tryout Policy.
  2. Once you accept the offer you must sign into your Eastside account and electronically sign the contract and waivers together and deposit a $200 non-refundable fee within the offer deadline details or the offer may be withdrawn at the clubs discretion. Once a player has accepted a position, they cannot play for any other USA JO volleyball program during the season.
    1. The contract must be on file to begin practice nest season.
    2. If you signed an early contract & turned in your waiver at that time, you do not need to turn both in again.
